Preeti means love
And love is how every Banarasiya Preeti silk leaves our hands.
Banarasiya Preeti was born in a narrow gully of Varanasi, where the rhythm of the handloom sounds like a heartbeat. We grew up watching our weavers create magic in silk and zari, and watching them be paid in pennies.
So we built something different. A women-led atelier where the karigar is paid first, the customer sees everything (yes, on video), and a little luck arrives in the post every month.
